RYAN GIULIANI
Founder & President

A gifted creative producer, Ryan began his career in photography production working with some of the most prominent names in the business including Steven Meisel and Michael Thompson. Ryan spearheaded the production of one of Richard Avedons final projects for The New Yorker magazine in 1999. From 1999-2005 Ryan shifted gears to pursue a career in commercial real estate, working for Olmstead Properties where he was responsible for leasing over 500,000 square feet of Manhattan commercial real estate.  With a shared love of food and hospitality, in 2005, he and his wife, Mary Giuliani, founded Mary Giuliani Catering Events (MGCE) which remains one of New York’s most prominent catering and event firms.  In 2014, Ryan opened a restaurant www.woodstockshindig.com and boutique hotel property www.woodstockway.com in the town of Woodstock, New York.

It was this diverse background that helped lay the successful foundation for Giuliani Social and MGCE. Ryan resides in New York City and Woodstock, NY with his wife and daughter.

MARY GIULIANI
Founder

Caterer to the stars, Mary Giuliani, launched Mary Giuliani Catering & Events in 2005, based on a love of entertaining, food and hospitality. The figurehead of the company, Mary creates parties for the crème de la crème of the art, fashion and entertainment sets. Her clients look to her to break traditional entertaining norms by instead offering and bringing to life party ideas that are one-of-a-kind, out-of-the-box, playful experiences.

MGCE produces over 450 events a year and BizBash honored her as the 2011 & 2012 Caterer of the Year. Mary has appeared on The Today Show, Good Morning America, The Rachael Ray Show, The Chew and The Barefoot Contessa and has been featured in numerous fashion and entertainment publications. Her book The Cocktail Party: Eat Drink Play Recover debuted as one of Random Houses premiere titles in 2016.

MICHELE POKOWICZ
SVP of Events and Strategy

As a President and Partner of Mary Giuliani Catering & Events, Michele Pokowicz uniquely pairs her keen sense of taste, design and culture with an ability to deliver seamless event production and customized catered experiences. Presiding and managing over 600 events a year with the MGCE team, she is a very well-respected industry veteran. From producing large-scale corporate events for Travel + Leisure, Bon Appetit, Commerzbank Nissan North America, and Vogue Magazine; to creating intimate dinners for clients, family and friends, her dedication to preparedness never leaves a detail unattended and her clients always know the event will go as planned. Michele was named 2012 BizBash Caterer of the Year.

RYAN BROWN
SVP of Finance

Ryan was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, where he was always a fan of entertaining and outdoor activities. After graduating from the University of Oregon with a B.S. in Business Administration, Ryan worked in the financial industry before deciding to shake things up and move to New York City in 2006.

Outside of work Ryan can be found traveling the globe exploring culinary arts, sky diving, skiing and scuba diving. Ryan’s love to entertain landed him the position with Mary Giuliani in 2006. His attention to detail, strong organizational skills and solution-oriented mindset makes him perfect for event planning.

He produces high-end events with clients including Financial Times, Christie’s Auction House, VOGUE, Yahoo, Jessica Seinfeld and J. Crew.

AMANDA REHBEIN
Creative Director

Trained in fine arts and stage design, Amanda is a New York-based designer with over 15 years experience in bringing creativity to luxury and corporate event production. As the Associate Creative Director for Relevent, an experiential market group, and the Design Director at Oliver Cheng Catering and Events, a luxury catering and production company, she designed events and installations for top brands like Heineken, Nike, Victoria Secret, Don Julio, Hennessy, W Hotels, Renaissance Hotels, Stoli, Gilt.com, Diesel, Bon Appetit, Net-A-Porter, Old Navy and Time Warner Cable. Amanda’s unique background brings a theatrical edge to events and permanent installations.

Amanda earned her degree in Theatre Design at Concordia University in Montreal and her Masters in Fine Arts at New York University in Design for Stage and Film.

NICOLAS GEERAERTS
Director of Operations

Nicolas joined the Giuliani Social team with a range of experience from launching and operating restaurants to a comprehensive knowledge of the restaurant and hospitality industry. In 2004, Nicolas moved to Manhattan to further pursue his career in hospitality, working with world renowned chefs and operators such as Patina Group, Jean Georges and Gray Kunz. Developed through his work with Incentient, Delmonico's Restaurant Group and One Group, he brings European refinement, passion for the hospitality industry and flair for venue creation. He has created and managed successful deals from Europe to Asia and South America with companies such as MGM, Galaxy entertainment group, Café Deco Group, Rezidor, Fursethgruppen, Starwood and many more.
